Our Program

FoodRaising Friends (FRF) creates meal bags because no child should ever have to face hunger—especially during school breaks when free breakfast and lunch are unavailable. Many families in our community rely on these meals to get through the week, and when schools close, the burden of replacing those meals can become overwhelming. Each FRF meal bag is thoughtfully packed to cover those missed breakfasts and lunches, giving children and families peace of mind and the nourishment they need to stay healthy and focused.

Our meal bags are designed with dignity and practicality in mind. Every family receives the same balanced mix of non-perishable items that are easy to prepare and store—foods that children can make on their own if needed. Because many of our bags are carried home on buses, through after-school programs, or even walked home, we ensure the packaging is sturdy and the items are lightweight but filling. The goal is not just to feed, but to empower—helping families maintain stability and a sense of care during times when support is needed most.
